Wrestling:
The YMCA continues to offer a variety of sports for children in Southeast Georgia. Last year was our first year offering folkstyle wrestling through our executive director, Paul Thein, a former collegiate wrestler and NCAA wrestling coach and we know that the interest in the region has grown because of it. We look forward to year two and all the additional children that we can teach as a result of this new program

Soccer:
Soccer continues to be an ever popular year round sport in this region and the YMCA continues to grow and develop soccer among children.  We offer Spring and Fall Soccer and Summer Soccer Camps so skills can be sharpened year round.

Coming Summer 2012, British Soccer Camps.

T-Ball:
T-ball is our way of introducing the sport to young children.  As they develop they transition to the rec leagues for baseball and softball that are already established and doing well.

Swimming:
Our swim team, the Torpedoes, is for swimmers ages 5-18 that have completed Shark Level swimming skills.  With the addition of our new swim coach, Alina Shaw, (see swim page on our website) the swimmers have sharpened their skills and increased their competivitness level.  Swimming is another sport that can transition to high school swim teams that also use our pool for practices.

Golf:

Music:
The YMCA has been offering music for over a year, so contact our music director Anna Pinder for information on openings in music lessons annalpinder@gmail.com.  We hope this program continues to grow as we continue to expand and serve children in our area.
