The Childers Family YMCA is a Christian Preschool.  Our daily schedule will include bible lessons, prayer, religious songs, and other Christian based activities.  Our religious activities are non-denominational.  Our preschool does not receive any state funding.  The revenue needed to support and operate the YMCA Preschool is generated through tuition paid by the parents and donations received.
We are licensed through Bright from the Start Early Care and Learning.
Our goal to seek national accreditation is solely a voluntary effort.  Accreditation assures our program is current and uses the best practices available for teaching and guiding our two and three year olds.
We have age appropriate toys to stimulate creative learning in our toddlers and three year old students.

The YMCA operates a  year round full time preschool
6:15 am – 6:00pm
Preschool is open 12 months a year
$380/month Member rate
$420/month Non-Member rate

Preschool is closed during the following Holidays in each year
New Years Day January 1st*
Independence Day July 4th
Memorial Day May – varies each year, last Mon in May
Labor Day – varies each year, first Mon in Sept
Thanksgiving & Day after - varies each year, fourth Thurs in Nov
Christmas Eve & Day Dec 24th & 25th*

YMCA PRESCHOOL
Our program is following Georgia’s Bright from the Start standards. YMCA preschool builds on children’s natural desire to learn new things and become more self-reliant.  Getting along with other children, sharing, taking turns and working in a group are a natural part of playing games or learning a new craft.  The YMCA is an exciting and challenging place that helps preschoolers stretch their skills mentally, physically, and spiritually.  It is also a safe, comfortable place where children build positive relationships with caring adults.

The Preschool participates in the CATCH KIDS (coordinated approach to child health) and follows the principles of the we can ® initiative.
